Xpress SL-C483W
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hello,

I have a Samsung Xpress SL-C483W since 3 years (C48x series). Everything was fine and great. Normal use.

But since yeasterday, when I scan a document, I have a 5cm (=2 inches) vertical white stripe on the left (see image). This white stripe is here when I scan AND when I use the "copy" feature. I suppose that means the problem is not from my computer, but it is from the scanner itself.

When I just print a page from my computer, there is no problem.

When I run the scanner, I dont see any strange behavior from the light, nor from the rail.

So, what does that means? Some optical sensor are dead? How can I check that? Is it repairable?

Thanks a lot.
