Product: Deskjet Ink Advantage 2337
Operating System: macOS 11.0 Big Sur

I am can't use my Deskjet 2337 since it can't be detected by my laptop (MacOS Big Sur Ver 11.5) during set up. I did the following:

1. Installed HP Smart app in my laptop. Searched for the printer via connected USB cable. Clicked on Add a Printer button. 

2. Fast forward to the part where I choose to connect via USB. 

3. Error shows up saying I need to connect my USB or make sure the printer is powered on (but it is connected and power is on)

 

I've already tried reconnecting the printer, plugging in a different port, and restarting the computer. I also already uninstalled and re-installed HP Smart.  I couldn't find a proper driver online and links always lead me to installing the HP Smart app.

 

It still can't detect my printer. Please help
