HP Recommended
p1102
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I was trying to install drive for 1102 printer for several weeks already

I got it from my friend, and she was using it with no problem,

But on my PC it always showed printer as Mass Storage Device with drivers on it.

I was trying to remove it as hardware, and install it manually, tried to use Driver only installation and Full set of utilitieas and drivers, but nothing helped.

But today I found solution on one of ... linux forums!

The thing is you can:

download Full utility package (hp_LJP1100_P1560_P1600_Full_Solution),

extract it into temporary folder

go to UTIL and run SIUtility.exe

Then using this utility disable Smart Install Utility for your system first, and than for printer (both)

And after it - reconnect printer.

TaDaaaa - it connected as a printed finally, and automatically installed one of numerous drivers i've already tried.

PS: you can find original article by searching "How to switch p1102 from fake CD-ROM to printer
