Product: officeJet pro 9050
Operating System: macOS 11.0 Big Sur

I recently bought an OfficeJet Pro 9010 multifunction printer and installed it using the HP start App. All works fine on two MAC computers and a Win 10 PC. However, it will not scan to my computers unless I use the HP start app! I normally use Adobe Acrobat for scanning documents, but even though the computers recognize the 9010 scanner, it cannot connect to it. I get Failed to connect with the device or Failed to connect to the device messages (error codes -9921 or -21345). I get the same messages if I use another scan app instead of Acrobat. I am able to scan to the computer if I link individual computers to the printer locally through the USB cable. Once the cable is disconnected, Poof! the  link is gone and I am back to where I started. I have spent the entire day trying to sort out the "right combination" with no luck. HP Support is useless and unresponsive.
