Laser Jet Pro MFP M281cdw
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Recently I have had a cascade of failures with cryptic solutions:

55.0602 something about NVRAM.  The solution was to restart and reset the static memory, I did this more than 10 times.  No luck.  I left the printer of for 2 days and it magically cured itself.

In the meantime, I learned that the Cartridge Policy must be turned off.

I replaced a cartridge with an OEM and now I have two problems: 1) the printer restarts automatically just about once a minute.

When it does restart is shows a graphic of supply error.  Interestingly, it seems the HP original cartridges are not accepted; i.e. , marked with a question mark.  I tried printing out reports to get the firmware date, but is cannot print because of the cartridge issue.

Finally, I now also the message 79 which throws everything out the window.

Is there a way to fix this mess or just buy another printer from any manufacturer but HP?
