HP OfficeJet Pro 6978

Hello,

I just replaced my black ink cartridge with a genuine HP 906XL cartridge, after a long time of not printing.  I still have the original magenta, cyan, and yellow 902/902XL cartridges, and this was my first cartridge replacement.  Last time I printed, at least a year ago, all of the cartridges were low but ink actually showed up on the paper.  Now, my printer will only spit out blank pages.

Looking at the ink cartridge information, it says they are all genuine HP ink cartridges, magenta, cyan, and yellow are low, and black is full.  I have tried to align the print cartridges (which doesn't work because nothing prints) and clean the print heads multiple times (which also fails; nothing prints and it tells me to contact HP support).  I have also tried copying a page with black text, which does not work.  This is not a connectivity issue between my PC and my printer; I am not using my PC to print.  Is there a way to manually clean the print heads?  I am wondering if there could be dried ink clogging them because I haven't printed in so long.

Thanks,

Adam
