HP Deskjet 2727e
Android 9.0 Pie

I have recently bought an HP 2720e printer but do not have an internet connection at the moment. I have read you can print without WiFi using HP WiFi direct. I have followed the instructions given to do this and have downloaded the HP smart app and the plugin app. When I open the smart app it lists my Deskjet 2720 and underneath says, "ready to print" with a green arrow by the side. I then click on print documents and it takes me to the file I need to print, I then click on the print option but it just opens a window saying....WiFi not configured....with the option to then either cancel or continue......if I press cancel it just takes me back to the previous page and if I press continue it opens my WiFi settings......where it shows Direct-6D highlighted but says..... connected no internet......what am I doing wrong?
