Delay between printing

I'm a Systems Admin, and we've bought a new printer to replace a Ricoh SP5210 that broke down. 

The software we use as a CMR, when printing a particular screen for orders creates a set of print jobs (20+) where they are 1 page each. We are an ALL Mac shop, and do not have any PCs other than 1 I use for certain systems that require a Windows OS.

The issue we are having is that the new printer pauses between jobs. When printing out 50+ pages needed immediately would take over 5-10 minutes to print because of the delay. 

Steps I've taken:

- Installed original driver via 'Easy Start'

- Removed driver, and reinstalled it.

- Used AirPrint to see if it acted differently. (it didn't)

- Changed/manpulated settings for Energy Saver, Autosend, and a few other things that made no difference.

I know assumptions are deadly, but one of the main differences between the two printers is that the m607 has only 510mb of memory and the Ricoh has 2GB. So... am I assuming that has something to do with the queue and the delay?

Another theory is that the "cool down" period is made for the printer to preserve itself and elongate the life of the fuser. Where older printers did not have that and fusers were blown constantly. (Which is the reason we are replacing the Ricoh)

If this is the case, that means that there should be a setting that can override this feature/bug somewhere.

Any assistance would be helpful. I'm at my wit's end.
