DesignJet 510

I am having an issue with my DeisgnJet 510 large-format printer lately. Problem started a month ago, and it looked like the magenta cartridge was running out. I was using original HP cartridges. Upon testing, the printhead turned out to be bad (was quite out of warranty), so I replaced it.

Upon replacing the printhead, the magenta cartridge showed a "low ink" warning. It was indeed low on ink. So I replaced it with a new original cartridge and started printing. However, after a page or two with not too much color, the same, fresh cartridge showed an "empty cartridge" warning and wouldn't work until I removed and reinstalled the cartridge. It then showed a "very low ink" warning and stayed there. The printer would print successfully then on. However, if I navigate the front panel menus, and get info on the cartridge, it still has a full 69ml of ink, as it should have.

So I went ahead and installed a remanufactured one. At first it worked as expected when you have a new cartridge installed, a few pages later however, the same thing is happening again, at first it showed an "empty cartridge" message, and now the remanufactured one is low on ink according to the front panel icon, but still has 69ml of ink available according to the information accessed by the same from panel.

Any hints?
