I can use Adobe Acrobat Reader to print PDF process map files that are close to 100 inches long.  I simply edit the Custom print size and set the width to 24 inches (to match the width of the roll), and the length to fit the size of my drawing.  If I look at document properties on a PDF and it says that it will be 68 inches long and 20 inches high, I set my length to 68 inches and it prints perfectly.

Most of the time.

Sometimes it doesn't print anything, and instead the printer spits out several feet of blank roll paper.  I haven't found the pattern to this, but I believe it has to do with PDF size.  The PDFs I am printing are process maps, so even viewing them on the screen is slow.  I wonder if the computer is simply struggling to do the math to properly display it, so it is sending it to the printer incorrectly?  The latest one to have a problem is a document 112 inches long.  The PDF is about 3 MB.

I do not get any error messages on the computer or the printer.  Has anyone else seen this?  I am open to any suggestions for a way to print these large diagrams.
