Deskjet 2700e
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

for 2 days now I have been trying to set up my DeskJet 2700e.

I have downloaded the Hp Smart App to my PC (win 10 64 bit) and tried to connect to my printer while it was in setup mode.

Getting the printer to show up in the "add printer" section is already a hassle since it only happens every 1 in 3 times if I restart the setup mode or the printer itself.

Once it works I enter the wifi password, press the blinking information button on my printer, once it prompts me to do it.

After that, it takes a few minutes with the message "sending network information", but I always get an error message "there was an unexpected error and we can't complete the setup now"

I also tried to set it up with my smartphone (Android 10) and the Hp Smart App. Same thing as before, but I get the error message "something might be wrong with your wifi password". This can't be true, since I entered it by hand about 10 times by now. It is definetly correct.

Another thing I tried is to manually set up a wifi connection via the wireless direct option. Getting this to work is a hassle, too but once I set it up, oppened the printer settings in the browser, via its IP I thought I was done.

I chose the wireless connection wizzard, entered my wifi password and was once again greeted with an error message

"the wireless connection wizzard failed".

At this point I have no idea what other thing I could try.

A setup via Ethernet cable is not possible since the 2700e doesn't have an ethernet port and I am not going to set it up via USB, since the cable was not included and I am not going to spend additional money because of the other setup options not working.
