Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hello, I have an older Windows 7 HP laptop. I have been able to install the Deskjet 9800 printer driver. But when I open the toolbox a popup says that the "Toolbox is not unavailable because the printer driver is not installed." But this is not correct. In the control panel in printers the printer is shown and the driver is working. I have been troubleshooting this issue for two days and now I am just spinning my wheels going over the same support suggestions. The printer is old, 2011 and HP has dropped all of the support for it. Links listed on HP support pages are not working. There is no longer any drivers listed. There are no alternative drivers (UPD) to use. I have uninstalled both drivers and and toolbox program and reinstalled. I have used the Dr. program: HPPSdr, to no avail. HP's VirtualAgent was of no help. I have followed the step by step instruction listed in this link: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printer-Software-and-Drivers/Deskjet-2135-toolbox-won-t-open-in-window... but that didn't solve the problem.

Has anyone else faced this problem and have successfully solved it? Thanks in advance for any support!
