HP Recommended

I'm at my wit's end and am beginning to question HP's technical competence.

 

I have tried every recommended solution to installing the Advantage 2545 printer in a computer with Windows 10. Nothing works. I recently installed a Brother printer on the same computer and it could not be simpler. Almost installed itself!

 

I need to siolve this problem, as I cannot afford to trash this printer for what seems a simple reason.
