Hi there, this might be impossible to do. But I have a real Commodore 64 and a Ultimate 64 (a FPGA of the C64) developed by Gideon's Logic Architectures. GLA also developed the "1541 Ultimate Plus" expansion the the Commodore 64. I wonder if it might be possible for a 8 bit system (computer) to communicate with a 32 or 64 bit printer. It might be easier with a Ultimate 64, since it use's modern technology (USB ports). Gideon is also re-designing it's User Port circuit board for use with a modem and maybe printers. I am not a engineer or a programmer, but I am relearning the C64 Comal 80 programming Language of the 1970-80's and starting to learn C64 Assemble Language programming as a hobby.
