HP OfficeJet 250 InkJet Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Product: HP OfficeJet 250 InkJet Printer

Objective: Disable NVRAM (Non-Volatile Random-Access Memory)

Good morning everyone, normally I only read and never post in the community, but I'm unable to locate a solution to this objective of removing or disabling the NVRAM (or any memory) for one of these printers.

The reasons are for security concerns of handling sensitive data on multiple separate networks. Disabling the memory will ensure that the printer is not retaining any previously printed documents or network addressing data.

I'm experimenting with this printer because it suits my team's need for mobility/portability and overall size. The printers will not be networked and will only be linked with individual workstations via USB cable. In fact, completely disabling any wireless communication (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi) is required as well.

Previous used/deployed printers are no longer in production, Canon PIXMA iP110, so I'm in pursuit of a replacement. There's a possibility to purchase 100s of the new printer that fulfills our requirements over the coming years.

I've disassembled the HP 250 in my possession already (might be able to re-assemble), it's my practice unit and hopefully proof-of-concept. I'm a novice with a soldering iron but I am willing to desolder or reflow solder to remove hardware if that's what it takes.

Any suggestions, innovative ideas or support is openly welcome. I'm happy to answer any questions as well, thank you for your time and possible support.
