HP SCANJET G4000 SERIES
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hello,

I'm sending a second post as I never received your reply to the first one, please HELP!!

I have an HP Scanjet G4000 series scanner  Serial [edit] which I hadn't used for several months.  I have Windows 7  64 bit.

The scanner powers on fine and when I press scan, it makes a sound as though it's going to scan but I get this error message every time:

"A problem prevented the document from being scanned. Please try again, or for troubleshoowing information, see Help and Support or the information that cane with the scanner"

error message: 4,[(0,7,80004005),(2,6,80040005),(3,6,0)]

I tried several times uninstalling the scanner program, disconnecting the cables, installing again, but still get the same error message. I've also downloaded the drivers for this scanner from HP.

I know my scanner is out of warranty and don't know if it might be an issue with Windows 7, I need to know what the problem is, or get a new one if it's too expensive to repair it.

Do I need an update?

Please let me know.  Thanks!!!!!
