Product: HP Officejet Pro X551dw Printer
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks

I place envelopes in the  #1 "tray" envelope feeder, flap up and towards the printer.  When print is launched, the top exit door opens and closes, there is NO activity in the envelope tray - no attempt to feed.  I then receive an error message that there is a paper jam and to clear the jam and then press the "button" on the console window to continue.  When I press that "button" , the envelope tray immediatley activates and processs the envelope with no issues.  

To print the next envelope requires a repeat of this process.

Is this normal?  If not, how do I correct the issue?
