Product: Color LaserJet Pro MFP M477fdw
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I receive a very criptic fatal error message when installing the full software package, at approx. 80% in the stage "Preparing installation". The error message is:

 

A problem occurred while preparing to install software to your system. Please restart your computer and run this installer again.

 

Useless to say, restarting the computer solves nothing.

 

It's exactly the same error reported by Markop90 on 04-18-2017, but his solution does not work for me:
