HP Scanjet Pro 3000
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Turned the scanner on and the led light lit up green as it should. Placed a single-page document in the scanner and the led light immediately began blinking red - 7 times . Pushing the scan button on the scanner communicated with the computer and an error message appeared as indicated above in the subject line: Error 3005 Flatbed Lamp Error.

 

Removing the paper from the scanner does not change the status of the led light - it continues to blink 7 times, pause, blink 7 times, etc.

 

I am guessing the lamp needs replacing but I cannot find any information on the support site indicating the name of the part, where to get it, how to replace it, etc. 

 

Please help!
