Hi,

I have a brand-new M426fdw, just a few weeks old. All software and firmware is up-to-date. It seems to be working fine, printing, ADF and flatbed scanning.

I did not scan too much stuff with the flatbed scanner so I am not entirely sure if it was like this since the beginning or it is something new. Yesterday I tried to scan a few documents using the flatbed and I have noticed a horrible grinding sound after the scan pass is complete. E.g. when the light module moves forward the noise is OK (still a bit too loud, in my opinion). But when it returns to its home position, that's when I hear that loud grinding sound. I did several scans and it is always the same. I will probably capture the video and post it here to better show what I am talking about.

I am using latest HP EasyScan software. Scanned at 300 DPI.
