HP Deskjet 3760
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I have a HP Deskjet 3760 printer.  It is working fine.  It is installed and showing on HP Smart App, and I have the Instant Ink package.  Everything is working fine.  My wife's HP laptop has it installed and it prints fine.  I can also print to it from my iPad and iPhone, no problems there.

But it will not install drivers on my HP windows laptop.  It shows on the Windows printers list as installed, but 'drivers not available'.  It shows in HP Smart App (on the same laptop) as not fully installed.  I am on Windows 10 Home.

If I ask the smart app to install the drivers, it thinks for a couple of minutes then asks me to go to the 'printers and drivers' in Windows settings.  Windows settings then tries to install and says that it cannot.  I have also been onto the HP troubleshoot programme, which takes me to download the drivers.  Each time, the drivers goes through asking me to print a network report and enter the IP address, and then gets to the end of the process before saying the internet connection has gone.  It hasn't because I am still online and can browse other internet pages.  The programme gives me a link to return to complete the process, but that just sends me back to install the HP easy start software and this begins the process again, whereupon at the end it again says that the connection is lost and it cannot complete.

Has anyone had this problem?  Could someone tell me what I am doing wrong please?  I have been sending everything I need to print by email to my iPad for months and I can't keep doing that as it is wasting large amounts of time due to how often I am having to do it.

Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.
