Hello,
The following, I prefer to have one and in this printer it is available, a v4 driver. With the MFP M477 there is a v4 driver only in the no installer version, which in itself is not tragic, I really care.
I do not need a mouse driver to come on a DVD if it does make a 20 kb mouse.com too.
But if I now want to add a new printer, choose a standard TCP / IP port as is usual, the printer is also set up wonderfully. I'm missing in my applications only the scanner that does not appear anywhere.
If I take the Full Solution driver, which unfortunately only exists as v3, the scanner can also be found as a WIA-HP CLM477 under the TWAIN sources, with the no Installer version it does not appear.
The scanner drivers are also available in the no installer version of the driver and should therefore be installed.
I do not need any HP scanner software, it's fine if the WIA-HP CLM477 is listed under the TWAIN sources.
At the moment I have no choice but to install the Full Solution driver first, but there I choose only the drivers for the printer and the scanner, and then manually add a printer and select the v4 driver.
If this is done then the "first" printer can then be removed under "Devices and Printers" and subsequently under "Print Server Properties" the v3 driver will be removed, which unintentionally has the same name as the v4 driver. A distinction in the name, e.g. "V3", "v4" would have prevented some "bleepy" behavior.
Does anyone have an idea how to install the base driver (no installer) so that the scanner is present?
In the hppasc_lj477.inf file it is also specified as HP CLJM477 Scan Driver which is why I do not understand that it will not be installed with the no installer version of the driver.
many Greetings
Detlef Paschke
