HP Deskjet 5550
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi

Hoping someone can please help! I have an old HP DeskJet 5550 which I'm trying to get to work with Windows 10. It seems to have installed some sort of driver automatically and is recognised under the printer settings. However when I print a test page or in fact anything, no print is coming out. I suspect that the heads might need cleaning. However, when I go into printer preferences then services and click on 'clean print cartridges' it seems to do nothing although the bottom greenlight on the printer keeps flashing.

I ran some sort of HP analytical toolkit which indicated the drivers were okay and that ink levels were okay (although the printer was said to be busy presumably because the clean print cartridges command was still being processed).

So I'm not sure if the issue is that I need another driver: can't seem to find a website to download a Windows 10 driver specifically for this printer. Or that there is another option somewhere allowing me to clean my print head or cartridges.

Any advice would be welcome please.

Thanks
Simon
