Product: HP Deskjet 6988

 

I recently purchased a new black ink cartidge for my HP Deskjet 6988. The cartridge that I purchased  (HP 94 Original Black Ink Cartidge) was listed on the HP website as being compatible with my printer, however, when I brought it home, it's not working. I called customer support and they were unable to help. Can somone verify for me whether the HP 94 Original Black Ink Cartidge is indeed compatible with my product?

 

I've attached a screen shot of the HP web page (http://store.hp.com/us/en/mdp/ink-toner/hp-deskjet-6988-printer) that I got this information from and highlighted the cartidge that I purchased in yellow.
