Hey, I'm having trouble connecting my HP Envy 6030 to my Linux Mint 20.1.
I'm using my phone (LG Q7) as a Wi-Fi Hotspot as my main internet for the laptop and others.
I managed to connect the Envy 6030 wirelessly once - in a way that my phone's Wi-Fi hotspot recognized it was connected to the printer - to the Linux OS, but due to scanner driver issues I uninstalled hplip AND HP Smart. Next time I used HP Smart to connect via Wi-Fi direct, I think.
This lead to Envy 6030 not picking up other networks by Hp-Setup. I reinstalled Mint entirely, but issues persisted.
I have the Envy 6030 connected to the phone via HP Smart, but it only recognizes Wi-Fi Direct, as does HP Network Configuration page that the printer gives.
Hplip doesn't appear to accept the Wi-Fi Direct option and wants the 802.11 Wireless, which I do not know how to reapply again.
The printed "HP configuration page" does find the other 802.11 networks in the 3rd page. But hplip cannot find them for some reason. Nor do I know how to make HP Smart / the Envy 6030 use a 802.11 network rather than Wi-Fi Direct.
=========UPDATE
Nevermind, I found the "network reset button" by sheer chance when I was browsing images of other Envy 6000-series printers. *UNDERNEATH THE POWER BUTTON* is a tiny round button, which you may mistake for something else, but it actually does have the wi-fi signal image there.

Press and hold the Wireless button on the back of the printer for five seconds until the Edge lighting flashes purple. It might take several attempts before the lighting flashes.
Then on HP Smart/with your phone, make sure the Wi-fi is connected to "HP SETUP>0" thing instead of "DIRECT-C0" thing to get the 802.11 connection. DIRECT-C0 means Direct Wi-fi and it won't work with hplip.
========UPDATE 2
Forget all that. It seems the printer forgot all the settings.
My phone cannot uphold Wi-Fi and Hotspot at the same time, which makes using HP Smart really troublesome. Especially when HP Smart requires me to sign up to finalize installing the printer YET you cannot enter the web when you have Wi-fi on, but when you have hotspot on but not wi-fi, then the printer is unavailable and I cannot connect to your site.
Why can't the printer just connect as Wi-Fi or just as 802.11 network?
