I followed these steps albeit a bit out of order- Scanner assembly replaced in Nov 2019 Firmware around may 1 and re seat cables - issue returned again this morning- going to re seat cables again now to see if i can get them running - any further HELP would be appreciated

30.03.23 Scanner failure

Description

Flatbed alignment calibration error.

Recommended action

An 'Emerging Issue' document is in place for this error when accompanied with a wide horizontal or v...HP Color LaserJet Enterprise MFP M680 MFP Series - 30.03.23 errors with a wide black or color band w... .

1.    Turn the product off, and then on again.

2.    For Error 30.03.23 DO NOT replace the SCB, CPB, ADF or Formatter.

ONLY replace the scanner assembly.

3.     If replacement of the Scanner Assembly does not fix the error condition; elevate to L3.

IMPORTANT! Add notes for onsite technician: Before replacing scanner, check all connections from ADF and Flatbed Scanner; especially the Flatbed FFC cable. Ensure FFC cables are ALWAYS connected and disconnected in a straight way, avoid angled insertion.

I hope that will help,
