HP Recommended
Product: HP Laserjet 1012
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

It's August 2020 and I just got an HP Laserjet 1012 working in Windows 10 Home 64 bit Version 2004  OS build 19041.450

It took a couple hours, a couple YouTubes and a few tries.  As others have said, I needed the DOT4 port - not the USB001 or any other.  The DOT4 was not an available choice.until I did a "Windows Update" within the Add Printer, AND THEN RESTARTED THE PC.  The DOT4 port was then available.  I chose the DOT4 port and then the driver HP Laserjet 3055 PCL5.

No other port worked, no other driver worked.  Good luck.
