I cannot configure the "Scan to Email" option for the HP PageWide Pro 477dw MFP. I have a 577dw with the same problem as well. Even though I know the e-mail information (server, port, authentication, etc.) is correct as I have several HP laser printers using the same configuration, each time I enter the information I receive the following error:
"Network error. Check the printer's network connection and try again."
Strangely, prior to a firmware update, I was able to send e-mails and it didn't even require authentication or anything (no idea how that was even working). However, now, regardless of what settings I check, uncheck, or add, I get the same error even though the settings match those on the HP laser printers.
