HP ENVY Photo 7858
macOS 11.0 Big Sur

I unboxed a new HP ENVY Photo 7858 and  I  downloaded the HP Smart Application onto my Macbook Air Mac OS Big Sur 11.3.1. The HP Smart kept indicating "Load Paper in Printer". I pulled the tray out and loaded the paper. I lessen the page count in the tray and the error still exists. Looking at the printer display screen, there wasn't any error on the screen. I did a test print and it printed in color. The problem is that there was a line toward the bottom of the paper. My assumption is that the paper isn't aligned in the tray.  I printed black ink only for the printer configuration page and it printed out.  I printed color and it printed fine print on paper. So now the real problem is the annoying "Out of Paper" Message in the HP Smart Application that isn't displaying any "Out of Paper" on the printer display screen. I went online and looked for any printer firmware updates to correct this issue. There are none.  It might be a HP Smart Software glitch. I was going to return this printer to Costco because of this software glitch.  I will hold onto it for at least a couple days to see if I want to return it.  I am open to a solution from a certified HP specialist.
