Color Laser MFP 179fnw
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Trying to scan a document but nothing seems to work.

My PC uses a Cat5 connection to my router via powerline and my MFP is connected via WiFi. I can print using my PC or a selection of different WiFi connceted Android devic es but I cannot initialize any scans from the MFP or from any device.

  • I have downloaded and installed HP Smart which can locate my MFP but says "Scanning is currently unavailable" when Scan is selected.
  • I have downloaded and installed HP Scan & Capture which cannot locate my device even if I insert the actual IP address in the manual settings.
  • I have downloaded and installed HP Scan Extended which also cannot locate my device.
