HP Scanjet G4050
Microsoft Windows Vista

Hi,

I am using the Scanjet G4050 to scan in negatives from old film. I'm new to using it and encountered my first issue. The first couple of times I used it everything went well, I was able to scan the film in as color photos. Today when I went in and used the same settings as before I had an issue. The photos scanned into preview like usual and I started cropping the photos before hitting the finish button and completing the scan into my computer. As I cropped each square of the film it automatically changed from color to black and white. I scanned in to images and about 15 of them did this, the rest stayed as color. When I finally finished I hit the finish button and it scanned in most of the photos as black and white and only a few in color. I had the settings set to color and don't know why the scanner decided it wanted to convert the color images into black and white. Any ideas or help?
