Product: Scanjet 5590
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I decided to make this a separate topic as it's not related to the issue I am having with the TWAIN software.  Hope that's okay.

I have an HP Scanjet 5590 scanner and I tried to use the original CD (from when XP was the OS) to install just the HP Photo & Imaging Software.  At one point I get an error that says C:\Windows\SysWOW64\hpgwiamd.dll failed to register.  HResult - 2147024770.  No luck finding a solution on Google.

 

If I hit 'ignore' on the install window, the install completes but if I try to use the control buttons on the scanner to interact with the software, an error says it can't see the scanner, etc.

 

Any ideas / solutions?  Would really appreciate it.  Thank you very much
