HP Scanjet 8270
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I keep getting the following message when I try to put the HP Setup software for the HP Scnjet 8270 on my machine:

 

"This computer does not have the necessary USB software support to allow completion of a USB installation.  The installation cannot continue until this is resolved.

 

Required Action: Click Cancel to exit this software installation. In order to install this device as a USB device, please refer to your computer documentation or USB add-in card documentation for more information about USB drivers."

 

For some reason, my HP 2400 Laserprinter (which is also 10 years old) will work with my 64-bit Windows 7.0 HP Zbook but not the Scanjet.  Help!
