HP Scanjet G4000 Series
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

Hello,

I have an HP Scanjet G4000 series scanner  Serial CN14NAC0V2 which I hadn't used for several months.  I have Windows 7 but not sure if its 32 or 64 bit.

The scanner powers on fine and when I press scan, it makes a sound as though it's going to scan but I get this error message every time:

"A problem prevented the document from being scanned. Please try again, or for troubleshoowing information, see Help and Support or the information that cane with the scanner".

I tried 3 times uninstalling the scanner program, disconnecting the cables, installing again, but still get the same error message.

I know my scanner is out of warranty and don't know if it might be an issue with Windows 7, I need to know what the problem is, or get another one if it's too expensive to repair it.

Maybe I need an update?

Please let me know.  Thanks!!!!!
