Product: HP Smart app
Operating System: Android 8.0 Oreo and older

When attempting to download HP Smart from the Play Store,  I receive the following message: "your device isn't compatible with this version ".

My device is a Android Samsung S5.
Android version is 6.0.1.
I'm downloading HP Smart because when attempting to print something, I'm getting a message, "This printer is not available ", which generates a notification that updates have taken place and I need to download the HP Smart app in order to sign in.
Well,  I  can't load the Smart app, thus I can't sign in, thus I can't print. 
Is my device no longer supported?
Is this fixable?
