HP deskjet printer 3830
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

If your printer stops printing in color because the printing in color has disappeared after windows(10) update.

Follow these steps. It helped me resolved the issue.

  1. Download the latest printer driver for your printer from HP support site.
  2. Install the HP printer driver using any approach suggested by HP(Install basic drivers or use HP software utility.)
  3. Go to add printer in windows settings and add printer, select the option "My printer is not listed".

  9. Un select the TCP IP port and select the WSD port and click OK

    Click on manage

The "DJ printer" will disappear and the original printer installed by HP software utility will show the option to print in color under its preferences.

  11. Windows may not show the TCP printer under the printer section. You may have to chose the TCP printer while printing a document from list of printers in the print menu.
  12. Enjoy.!!
