HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 is currently network connected and prints correctly.
Documents are usually scanned to usb drive, as indicated in the instruction manual.
The USB drive installed in the front usb connector can not be accessed via network, so scanned files are not easily available.
The USB drive works fine, as it is accesible when connecting the printer to a single copmuter via a usb cable (the usb drive and files appear in the windows explorer)
Is there a way for the USB drive and the scanned files stored in it to be accesible from the network, so scan files can be retrieved from the computers connected to the network.
I have so far been unable to do so, and there is no indication on how to do it on the HP manuals. Sales literature indicates in should be possible.
Any help would be much appreciated. We will have to change the printer for a different model if we are not able to set it up to work this way: Scan to USB drive, USB drive works as yearly document storage, and usb drive and files to be accesible from network connected computers.
Many thanks 🙂
