Using win10
I have this laserjet 3015 usb connected to my computer and it works fine. From this computer.
But across the lan on another computer it can be seen an jobs queued to it but the jobs report an error and nothing can be printed.
I note that on t his computer (where the printer is) the printer properties list a port : " Dot4_001 HP Print Device" but across the lan on that other computer it has no so such port. It did have port LPT1 for a while there.
And I cannot find any way to add any such port. On win10 there I found I can 'add ports' but it seems as useless as just adding a piece of text in the field there... it looks like you've added something but you haven't. I added a 'local port' I called 'usb' and it listed it alright but of course it didn't help anything at all.
This should work because before MS's latest update a couple of days ago it used to work fine and from the computers over there across the lan I had to do nothing at all. They simply found the printer and printed to it.
Anyone got any ideas?
