DesignJet Z5400

Hello,

My Z5400 plotter should allow us to print from a USB thumb drive.  However, I had some difficulty printing because my plotter currently requires a user to enter in an accounting ID.  When printing from a thumb drive there does not seem to be an option to add an accounting id, and therefore will place the document on hold for accounting id.

I would like to request HP to create a firmware update to request a user to enter in an accounting ID when printing from a thumb drive.  Or are there any work arounds?

Note about accounting ID's:

The accounting ID requires users to enter in text to identify who is printing the document such as "IT", "ADMIN", etc.  I do not want to disable this feature because it is useful to know how much each department is printing.  In addition this feature helps eliminate users from accidently printing to the plotter when they intened to print to the regular letter sized printer.

Thanks!
