To date, the HP Smart app does not understand the concept of Custom Presets to change the default settings.
What?
The application must work in a variety of OS versions and environments.
Perhaps the amount of code that must be added is prohibitive in terms of size and speed.
Depending on the goal, it might be useful to check whether you can create an HP Smart Shortcut for your purpose.
Examples
HP Smart - Shortcuts - Cloud - Save - PDF
HP Smart - Shortcuts - Create / Edit > Shortcut for Email > Execute
