Product: Photosmart 309a
Operating System: Microsoft Windows Vista

First error message was in Solutions Center.  "Flash.ocx is out of date" with link to an incompartible version of Flash.  Found an archive of Adobe versions and downloaded 8.  Still didn't run.  Ran HP Print and Scan Doctor which did fix problem with Solutions Center one time.  I conclude that something (Firefox? Adobe?) is deleting or hiding flash.ocx, but can't find the file it in undelete efforts. Changes preceding the problem included an attempt to change printer from USB to wireless network connection, and included reloading Printer software from CD.  Ultimately failed "wireless radio is not working, call support".  I didn't bother - just reverted to USB.  I know, time for a new PC and printer!
