HP Recommended

Have struggled for 3 days attempting to setup an OfficeJet Pro 9025e at my office. This was my second 9025e, the other being at home. It will be my last HP printer.

Simply put it is impossible to complete the setup process. I have research all the posts in the community and tried their solutions / workarounds. I have tried HP Smart on Windows 10, Apple iPhone and logged into the printer directly. Communication appears fine as I successfully scanned a document from HP Smart on Windows 10. The printer and laptop are both connected wirelessly to a NETGEAR router.

All attempts at printing fail from laptop and phone. (I was stumped finding a print test page feature from the front panel.)

Error conditions include:

  • Not recognizing the print cartridges that came in the box as genuine HP.
  • Not recognizing new HP genuine printer cartridges.
  • Incomplete setup error at the printer while HP Smart thinks the process is done.
  • Inability for HP Smart online to determine print cartridge status (big clue that one....)
  • After uninstalling the printer in Windows 10, it now cannot be found.

The printer is now going back to Staples to be replaced by another brand.
