Product: HP Colour Laserjet 5550n
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am trying to install a refurbished HP colour laserjet 5550. The machine performs perfectly using the controls on the display. I have downloaded the appropriate driver  PCL6 from the HP site. Using this I did an installation choosing a plug and play printer type. When installation was complete a request to turn on and connect to usb after which windows would put a new printer in the printers and devices folder. The printer has now appeared in Control Panel > Devices and printers and is listed as HP5550 Category unspecified. There is no sign of it in either Settings > Devices > Printers and scanners nor in the device manager.

How can I get this printer to print from my computer.
