I'm trying to install my plotter on a new Win 10 PC. I previously had it working on a Win 7 64--bit Pro machine using a paralle port to USB adapter cable and as I have no parallel port on my new machine I'd like to use the same cable. I've downloaded the 64-bit driver and used it when doing a custom install, but haven't been able to get it to print. I think it's because I don't know what port to associate with the printer, LPT1, LPT2, or Virtual USB00x , etc.
The curious thing is that if I type a test page in Notepad and try to print to the DesignJet, the printer selection window shows a DesignJet 430 (D/A1) printer that I had tried to install, but the Windows 10 "Printers & Scanners" Settings window doesn't show this .
Any help would be appreciated.
