M477fdn
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I have a remote branch that needs to scan to our file system. Inital setup worked fine but we soon started receiving complaints that the printer could not detect the file system. It could take up to 10 minutes for the printer to recognize the network share. Up until now the built-in test would pass everytime I checked. However, at the moment it will periodically fail the test. The local users use the same share for their workstation drive mappings.

This branch uses a DMVPN tunnel over $1200 Cisco hardware. We can not find any network issues nor can we find any problems with the file server (which is an SMB share from a NetAPP box). In contrast I have the M477fnw in another remote branch scanning without problems over an OpenVPN tunnel from a $100 Ubiquity Edgrouter with the other end being a PFSense VM.

The firmware date code is

  20170728

The event log does not show me anything. Is there any other logging locations I should check?
