Hi @Woody145,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you're dealing with a couple of issues with your HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e All-in-One Printer. Here's a step-by-step approach to address both problems.
Internal Communication Failure in Fax Module:
Power Cycle the Printer:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for about 30 seconds.
- Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
Check Fax Settings:
- Ensure that the fax settings are correctly configured. You can usually do this via the printer's control panel or through the HP Smart app.
Update Firmware:
- Make sure the printer’s firmware is up-to-date. You can check for updates via the HP Smart app or the printer's settings menu.
Factory Reset:
- If the issue persists, you might need to perform a factory reset. This will reset all settings to default, so ensure you back up any important settings first. Refer to the printer’s manual for instructions on how to perform a factory reset.
Printer Not Printing from Computer:
Check Printer Status:
- Ensure the printer is online and not displaying any error messages.
Restart Devices:
- Restart both your computer and printer. Sometimes a simple restart can resolve communication issues.
Reinstall Printer Drivers:
- Go to the HP Support website and download the latest drivers for your printer model.
- Uninstall the current drivers from your computer and then reinstall the new drivers.
Check Printer Connection:
- Ensure the printer is properly connected to your computer via USB or network. If you're using a wireless connection, check the network settings and ensure the printer is connected to the same network as your computer.
Set as Default Printer:
- On your computer, go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers and ensure that the HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e is set as the default printer.

Clear Print Queue:
- Sometimes, clearing the print queue can resolve printing issues. Go to Devices and Printers, right-click on your printer, and select See what's printing. Cancel any stuck print jobs.
Run Printer Troubleshooter:
- If you're using Windows, you can run the built-in printer troubleshooter. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Printer and follow the on-screen instructions.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
