Hello,

After more than a year (and 25.5+k square meters), I have experienced a few issues which is annoying at best.

1. if I cut the print after end of the work and did not move the substrate forward, then next day, when the printer wakes up, it is certain, that it will crash the carriage into the substrate, causing jam and maybe damages the printhead(s). This is a major issue, as the printer rolls back the substrate behind the edge holders so when it pushes forward it, the substrate can be slide over the edge holder(s) and or if it's vinyl then the edge holder can separate the self adhesive part from the backing paper.

2. the opening of the dryer is too small if the substrate is somewhat curled or uneven. One cm could make a big difference there.

3. Dryer temps uneven, so the substrate has some wrinkles on it after it dried, even with the lowest acceptable drying temp, and those wrinkles  just on certain area of the substrate; serviceman couldn't do the calibration because (he said) it requires a 64" wide substrate while there's only metric sized rolls available, so he told that he would contact HP to require a firmware mod that allows 1600 mm material for dryer calibration. Not heard from him since then. This wrinkling is a major issue to the persons who have to work with the vinyls.

4. The printer takes up the substrate with different difficulty: if  the last used material is textile for example, then it takes in the next substrate much more easier, than if a harder subtrate unloaded from it before the new load. It's a PITA...

It also holds the substrate roll with more force until one don't press "OK" on the lenght left message, after unloading the previous substrate. And one also can switch from the "lenght left" screen without pressing okay, but then loading the next substrate isn't possible, and the printer won't switch off, so have to figure it out how can be bring back the "lenght left" screen which won't come up when entering the "roll" menu...

5. Slowdowns that make the touch panel laggy and unresponsive: sometimes after days of use (which is not a problem) sometimes just after a few substrate changes.

6. The carriage's bottom cannot be cleaned as it's unaccessible, but some ink can reside around the printheads and on the frame.
