Last full package update from HP disabled Scanning functionality, it is not corrected by any of the HP Doctor 5.1 latest Tool for Print and Scan. The printer is connected wireless,  printing works fine but scanning every time shows a communication error message

There is no way to update IP address on printer except by reinstalling the wireless connection using the router user and password. It fixed the WIA to automatic and updated the registry value from 00000001 to 00000004, the router was turned on and off to grant IP refresh but still giving the same error even running the app as administrator.

Is there a way to ride out of the mess caused by the last HP update provided by the HP Support Assistant.

I did use also the original installation CD that works fine until the new full software package was download and installed as per tool instructions.
