Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

In the PDF scan settings, I noticed the black/white, 150 dpi is set for photo & the 300 dpi is set for text.

Is there ANY POSSIBLE WAY to change or somthing I can download that will allow me to scan 150 dpi for text?

When I scan 150dpi(photo) it look horrible when printed from the PDF & when I scan 300dpi(text) the PDF file size is too large.

On my office's old HP LaserJet Managed Flow MFP M527m, I was able change the settings to black/white, 200dpi & geared towards text.  That made the documents I scanned small enough to email and look good when printed from the PDF file. It was perfect.   Is it possible to download a driver or modification from that printer that would be compatible with mine or anything else I could do?   PLEASE HELP!  PRETTY PRETTY PLEASE.
