hi team,

 

i just purchased the new LaserJet Pro MFP M479fdw, but this issue is probably also valid on a lot of other MFP devices.

 

one of the key scenarios is scanning my documents and bills to my computer to archive them but in a retrievable format - means OCR

 

So if I setup through HP smart i can define my quicksets, but it only allows me to chose scan to OCR, which is a pure OCR format and loosing all formating.

I'm looking for scan to searchable PDF  for scan to pc, but this is somehow only possible with the HP Scan app, but there it seems that i only can scan to searchable PDF FROM the computer, but i want to have the option and initiate FROM the M479. 

 

what is the right way to configure the scanner to achieve the thing above ?
